Outlook Recall Email

  1. To recall email in Outlook 365, navigate to the 'Sent Items' folder from the folder section on the left side of the window. Double-click the message you want to recall to open it (otherwise, the option won't be available). In the 'Message' tab, click the drop-down menu for 'Actions' and then choose the 'Recall This Message' option.
  2. Unfortunately, Outlook Recall does not work on the Outlook Web Access client, and they will see the Email even if you send out a Recall request. Message was Sent from a Delegate or Shared Mailbox If the original Email was sent from either a Delegate or Shared Mailbox, you can’t use the Recall command.
  3. Jun 09, 2021 Launch Outlook. Navigate to your Sent Items folder, select an email you’d like to recall and open it. From the image below, the top email is ideal for a recall as it was sent to a Microsoft Exchange account.

You have accidentally sent an email via the Microsoft Outlook and you want to recall and replace it with another email. Below exercise was done using Microsoft 365 application.

You can recall and E-mail on Outlook in two different ways: 1. Recall an Email in Outlook Using the Built-in Recall Feature. To review an email in Outlook, discover it in 'Sent Items' in your email record, and snap 'Document.' Select 'Information' on the blue segment, at that point click 'Resend or Recall,' 'Review This Message.' MS Outlook Options to Recall/Resend This Message Grayed Out. Under what circumstances would the mentioned features be grayed out? In the attachment given below is my email 'sent item' where I'd be able to recall and resend this message. However, I've seen cases where these 2 options are being grayed and unable to click.

Note: Email recall can be deleted or replace copies of the email in the recipient inboxes if the email has not been read.

Launch the sent email and go to Actions, select Recall This Message. The option can be find under the Message tab.

Select option of “Delete unread copies and replace with a new message” and check the “Tell me if recall succeeds or fails for each recipient“. With this option checked, you will know, who has read or hasn’t read your email. Click OK.

Send the correct email now.
