You want to install a wireless Repeater in your network, you have two paths available. You can install the Repeater, either automatically or manually. We will show you in this practical tip for both methods.

Wi-Fi Repeater install with WPS method

  • The Installation is quick and easy. Plug the wifi Repeater into a power outlet and press and hold the WPS button on the device for a few seconds.
  • Appears the LED Signal on the Repeater, press you within the next 2 minutes, the WPS button on your wireless Router. These also have to hold for a few seconds, until the LED Signal appears.

  • Not every Repeater has WPS. In this case, you can install the device manually.

Manual Installation of the Wi-Fi repeater under Windows

  • First, you plug the wifi Repeater into the wall outlet. At best, these can be found in the vicinity of your computer. Alternatively, you can connect the Repeater via LAN cable with your PC.
  • On a Windows computer click next on the network icon. You can find this usually at the very bottom right.
  • Here you can select the Wi-Fi Repeater. It is displayed when the Repeater is plugged into the outlet. Uncheck 'connect automatically', remove the checkmark in front of it.
  • Then click 'Connect'. Now you need to enter the wireless Key. You can find it on the bottom of the repeater. The default setting is usually '00000000'.
  • Start the Browser on your Computer and call the user interface of the repeater on. The necessary IP address, refer to the manual for your repeater. In the case of a Fritz repeater, you can also enter 'http://fritz.repeater' in the address line.
  • Make sure that you are logged in to the Wi-Fi network to which you want the Repeater to integrate.
  • Login to the user interface of the repeater by setting the first password, and confirm with 'OK'. Through the next steps of the setup wizard leads you.
  • Select 'wireless bridge' as the access type and confirm with 'Next'.
  • You get to the point 'Repeater wireless network selection', put the hook in front of the Wi-Fi network by you want to mount the Repeater. Confirm again with 'Next'.

I bought a Rybozen WiFi Repeater and i worked fine with my old router. I changed my wifi and It shows on my Ipad that the repeaters active but I did not have to put in the new wifi password also it will not open any of my browsers. What can I do that I can get it to have my new router password. ( I guess it sees me on the old Wifi that is not even connected.) malchiodi@yahoo.com THank you.
